dear father and cecilia,
i am writing this message to ask that you may pray for my daughter, misti xxxxxxx. she was diagnosed with, huntington's disease, about 4 years ago. There is no cure for this disease and she needs prays so badly, to be healed of this horrific disease. this disease affects the motor skills part of the brain, and eventually the person ends up being a human vegetable.
let me tell you a little of her history as of now. she has a real positive attitude right now, because of her 4 year old daughter. misti is a beautiful person inside. she doesnt deserve to have this disease. no one in this whole world deserves it.
i thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prays for misti and her daughter, m'aleigh.

sincerely, patricia xxxxxxx

Dear Patricia,
We are so sorry to hear of Misti's illness and the pain you are all going through. We agree - nobody deserves a terrible disease. It can lead us to anger and hostility towards God if we give in to our instincts. We cannot begin to understand what the infinite mind of God has in store for us, and why. But we must never forget that He loves each of us in a most special way. Of course, God can heal any disease easily when He chooses, when He sees that is best for our souls. Often He chooses very special people to carry out His larger, most perfect plan that is not understandable to us.

We must always remember that this world is not our home. Our souls live forever, and it is but a short time that we will be here and in this distress, though it seems like forever while we are going through it. Since there is no medical cure, we must pray very hard with Misty to Jesus and Mary . We must go to Confession and receive the Eucharist as frequently as possible. Ultimately we have no choice, God will do whatever is best for our souls, and we have no way of determining what that is. Please have faith that Jesus and Mary love you more dearly than you can imagine!

We will pray for the three of you, and Fr. DeGrandis will offer mass for you.
Love, Gene and Chu, and Fr. DeGrandis S.S.J.
